"Everyone and their mother seems to be playing Pickleball" per the New York Times. We agree, it's all the rage! Join us at RECS, a new indoor pickleball facility in the Portland metro area, for a one-hour instruction from Pickleball hall-of-famer (yes, Pickleball has a Hall of Fame) and local legend, Steve Paranto, followed by round-robin play, food, beer and wine! Also included will be optional cornhole, soccer-tennis, Teqball and an opportunity to meet the founder. Adults only please (but note that kids are generally welcome at RECS).  Due to the ice storm of 2024 we have had to postpone the original date. We will announce the new date as soon as possible. Ryan Cochrane, an accomplished professional soccer player, is set to host an exhilarating and highly competitive soccer clinic that promises to be an unforgettable experience with an advanced curriculum for experienced athletes. Intended for dedicated 12-14 year-olds looking for summer preparation before competitive tryouts, players will spend 1.5 hours each day for three days in a small group receiving top-tier training at The Field of Dreams. Don’t miss this golden opportunity for your child to work on enhancing technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall soccer IQ all coupled with Ryan’s personal insight and strategies. Originally from Portland, Ryan was an active defender who played for the Revs, San Jose, and Houston with whom he won MLS Cups in 2006 and 2007. Ryan retired in 2012 and remains an active participant in the Portland soccer community.
